Terms of Use for Responsible Image Search
Read the rules for lawful, responsible use of ImageReverse tools, face-search results, external providers, and educational content.
Rules in plain language
Use it lawfully
Search your own images, authorized material, or public evidence for a legitimate research purpose.
Do not harm people
Do not use the service for stalking, harassment, doxxing, unlawful surveillance, or deceptive identification.
Verify the result
Treat visual matches as leads. Check the source before making a claim about a person, creator, or event.
Ownership and operator
ImageReverse, including the imagereverse.net website and service, is owned and operated by Targa Limited. References in these Terms to “ImageReverse,” “we,” “us,” or “our” mean Targa Limited.
Permitted use
Use the service for lawful source research, your own image footprint, verification, accessibility, and protection of rights you own or represent.
You are responsible for the images and URLs you submit, the legal basis for processing them, and how you use any result. Follow applicable privacy, biometric, copyright, defamation, employment, consumer-protection, and platform rules in your jurisdiction. The privacy and image-handling policy explains how the available tools process submitted files.
Prohibited use
Do not use the service for stalking, harassment, doxxing, unlawful surveillance, deceptive identification, infringement, or attempts to bypass another service's protections.
Do not submit malware, automate abusive traffic, probe other users' data, interfere with the service, or present a similarity result as a verified identity when independent evidence does not support that claim.
No identity or legal determination
Visual similarity, metadata, and search results are investigative clues. They are not proof of identity, ownership, authenticity, or legal liability.
A top-ranked face candidate is the closest retrieved candidate from the available index under the system's settings. It is not necessarily a calibrated identity probability. Review the face-search verification method before drawing a conclusion. The earliest result found by an image engine is likewise not automatically the original publication.
Your content and rights
You retain whatever rights you already hold in submitted material. Submission gives ImageReverse only the limited permission needed to process the request, store it privately for up to 30 days, and reuse the saved result for an exact repeated search. You must not upload material in a way that violates another person's rights or a duty of confidentiality.
If an indexed result concerns your image or a work you represent, use the opt-out and removal request process to identify the exact record and the action you want reviewed.
Third-party services
External providers are separate services with their own terms, privacy practices, availability, and result quality. A link or user-selected redirect does not make ImageReverse responsible for those services or endorse every result they return.
Service availability
Features may change as providers, formats, and legal requirements evolve. External services remain governed by their own terms.
We may restrict abusive requests or suspend features when necessary to protect people, systems, or legal compliance. Report a security concern or terms question through the contact page.
Payments and reversals
A one-time source unlock applies only to the indexed result identified at checkout. A recurring plan renews for the billing period shown at checkout until it is canceled through account billing. Stripe displays the amount, currency, and billing interval before payment. A refund, failed payment, cancellation, reversal, or payment dispute can limit or revoke the corresponding paid access. Consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
